Dr. Stephanie was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. She is a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School (2003) and Calvin University (2007). After graduating from Calvin with concentrations in Biology, Biochemistry and Spanish, she worked at the Van Andel Institute as a Research Technician. In 2008, Dr. Stephanie moved to Ann Arbor, where she pursued her dream to become a pediatric dentist.
Dr. Stephanie earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Michigan in 2012. Here, she served as the president for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry student chapter and was awarded the comprehensive care award for clinical excellence. She continued on to earn her Masters in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan in 2014, where she met her husband, Dr. Anthony Guinn, who is an Endodontist in Grand Rapids.
Dr. Stephanie is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, Diplomate* of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is also certified through the American Board of Laser Surgery. Dr. Stephanie has been voted a “Top Dentist” and a “Top Dentist for Kids” in Grand Rapids since 2017, and currently serves on the board of the West Michigan Dental Foundation (Past President). She is involved with and enjoys providing continuing education courses for other health care professionals on topics in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Stephanie has three children, Sophie, Benjamin and Anna. When she is not working, Dr. Stephanie enjoys skiing, boating, traveling, playing games, and spending time with her family and their Golden Retriever, Lucy. Dr. Stephanie loves working with, educating and communicating with children and their parents, especially in situations that may make them feel nervous or apprehensive. She has a true passion for pediatric dentistry.
